Founded by a local entrepreneur in 1970, today the beach club and restaurant are the most exclusive on the island of Capri. Set on the southwestern point of the coastline in the shadow of the Punta Carena lighthouse, it is tucked among the white cliffs jutting out into the sparkling Mediterranean and blends seamlessly into the magnificent coastal landscape. This slice of paradise has been the backdrop to generations of islanders and visitors summering on the island who have gathered here over the years to relax far from the crowds and savor the most beautiful sunsets on the island. Once here, it's easy to understand why this spot is considered to be the most beautiful on the island: sun-bleached cliffs lining a tiny cove and a postcard-perfect view of the Faraglioni from the antique fort and scenic overlook, surrounded by flowering broom from just above. Lido del Faro is one of the only beach clubs on Capri where you can swim under the Mediterranean sun all day and take a final dip as late as 9 pm, as the final rays turn the waters golden on the horizon. The stunningly beautiful coastline and crystalline waters have earned our beach club the Bandiera Blu recognition.
