La Canzone del Mare is one of the hot spots that made the island of Capri famous across the globe, and has been a symbol of La Dolce Vita since the 1950s. La Canzone del Mare is an important landmark in the history of Capri, the setting for one of the most vibrant and glamorous decades on the island between the 1950s and '60s. Celebrities would flock to the island and spend their summer days basking in the sun around the pool on sun beds and deck chairs. Still today, guests come to bask in the Mediterranean sun from the terraces facing the Faraglioni, swim in the same crystalline waters as Homer's sirens, and savor traditional island dishes on the water's edge. La Canzone del Mare is located on Capri's Bay of Marina Piccola, on the southern coast of the island.
